Kisah Malam Pertama
Ada sepasang pengantin baru berada di kamar pengantin, di malam pertama.
Pada tengah malam itu, tiba-tiba isterinya mengerang, "Adoi.. Sakitnya bang...! Macam mana ni bang..?"
Suaminya lantas menenangkan isterinya, "Jangan nangis sayang.. Nanti emak
ayah dengar.. Mereka mungkin belum tidur lagi tu.." Kebetulan bilik mertua
hanya bersebelahan kamar tidur pengantin. Tapi kerana tidak dapat menahan sakit, isterinya tambah kuat mengerang. Mahu tidak mahu, si suami pun berkata, kali ini kuat sedikit suaranya:
"Sabar Sayang! Tahan saja.. Esok baru cabut."
Sejak dari tadi si mertua lelaki masih belum tidur. Dia memang terdengar
anak perempuannya mengerang, tadi dia tidak peduli, biasalah malam
pengantin, fikirnya. Tapi kali ini dia sudah hilang sabar. Dia bangun,

Oil drops 2 pct as dollar rises; awaits jobs data
NEW YORK - Oil prices tumbled more than 2 percent on Thursday to below $89 a barrel as a stronger dollar and weaker U.S. equities deterred buyers.
Oil markets fell back as Wall Street dipped on disappointing retail sales and investors turned cautious ahead of Friday's U.S. employment report for December.
Oil's losses added to a volatile start to trading in the New Year, with crude extending December's gains and touching a 27-month high on Monday before investors began to reassess the optimistic outlook for commodities in 2011.
Thursday saw further pressure on oil from gains in the dollar against the euro which weighed on dollar-denominated commodities. Recent U.S. data has painted a rosier economic picture in contrast to worries about the euro zone's sovereign debt crisis.
U.S. crude for February delivery settled down $1.92 at $88.38 a barrel in a second straight day of heavy volume.
Prices hit $92.58 on Monday, the first trading day of the year.
As of 3:25 p.m. EST (2035 GMT), crude oil volume on the New York Mercantile Exchange hit 972,774 lots, 6.7 percent above Wednesday's level and 74 percent above the 30-day average, according to preliminary Reuters data.
In London, ICE Brent crude for February ended 98 cents lower at $94.52.
Brent's premium to U.S. crude touched $6.55 , the widest level since it hit $6.57 on May 13, 2010. If the spread pierces that seven-month high, it would be the widest spread since Feb. 12, 2009, when it dropped below $10 on an intraday basis.
Brent's strength has been spurred by continued strong Asian demand and robust European product markets, while U.S. crude has been pressured by an extended build in stockpiles at the key delivery hub in Cushing, Oklahoma, despite a drop in national stocks over the last five weeks.
"An influx of Canadian crude is finding its way into the Cushing region and is likely to translate to a record supply at the futures delivery point with next week's data release," said Jim Ritterbusch, president of Ritterbusch & Associates in Galena, Illinois.
Concerns about the Eurozone economy have undermined the single European currency which fell 1 percent to a five-week low against the dollar on Thursday. Across the Atlantic, there is renewed optimism amid recent signs that the U.S. recovery is moving at a faster pace.
In late trading, the U.S. dollar was up 0.74 percent against a basket of currencies.
"It's all about the dollar strength and if the dollar keeps rising you could see more profit-taking up here at these levels," said Richard Ilczyszyn, senior market strategist at Lind-Waldock in Chicago.
Dollar-denominated commodities become more or less expensive for nondollar buyers depending on the relative strength of the U.S. currency.
Revised forecasts in a Reuters poll showed expectations that nonfarm payrolls jumped 175,000 after November's small gain of just 39,000.
Unemployment was forecast to have edged down to 9.7 percent last month, from 9.8 percent in November.
In the face of that forecast, uncertainty dogged financial and commodity markets as the day's report of a rise in new jobless benefit claims contrasted with Wednesday's data showing a surprisingly big jump in private sector jobs.
U.S. claims for unemployment benefits rose more than expected last week, adding to bearish sentiment, even though the four-week average, considered a better gauge of underlying labor trends, declined to a 2-1/2 year low.
Analysts said there could be some price distortion this week as the big investment indexes rebalance their crude futures weightings.
"The rebalancing period is well flagged and as such, some of the recent moves in the market are likely to reflect the anticipated rebalancing to some extent," said James Zhang, an analyst at Standard Bank Commodities Research.

Banks lift Oman to 38-wk high ahead of govt spend
DUBAI - Banks helped Oman's index touch a 38-week high on Thursday as volumes also surged, with investors betting on a windfall for lenders from increased government spending.
Bank Muscat rose 1.3 percent, Bank Sohar added 2.5 percent and Bank Dhofar climbed 0.7 percent.
On Sunday, Oman said it will spend 30 billion rials ($77.92 billion) in a five-year economic plan to 2015.
"Banking and construction stocks are seen as the likely main beneficiaries of increased government spending," said Adel Nasr, United Securities brokerage manager.
The index rose 0.4 percent to its highest finish since April 15. More than 21 million shares were traded, the highest total for four months.
"The first couple of weeks of the year are usually very good on the Oman market as local asset managers and long-term investors build new positions, while there was also good buying from foreigners," said Nasr. "Volumes were very strong, but we expect these to fall next week ahead of Q4 results - earnings will determine market direction for the next two months."
Dubai's index rose 1.2 percent to a three-week high as real estate-related stocks rallied. Emaar Properties climbed 1.7 percent and Union Properties added 1.6 percent.
Dubai house prices have fallen about 60 percent from 2008 peaks as oversupply and a liquidity crunch sent valuations tumbling.
"The pace of property price declines has slowed and over the next couple of years there will probably be stability rather than a recovery -- there is a lot of supply on the sidelines which will come on the market at the first signs of demand recovery," said Majed Azzam, AlembicHC real estate analyst.
"This isn't such a bad thing and helps give Dubai a cost advantage, with neighbouring GCC countries (e.g. Qatar and Saudi Arabia) seeing high levels of inflation. So this should stimulate more investment in the UAE to take advantage of cost benefits and better infrastructure."
Builder Arabtec climbed 2 percent, recouping most of Wednesday's losses that were sparked by its chief executive being banned from trading on UAE markets for six months.
"The Arabtec news was a dampener in terms of sentiment, but it doesn't affect the company operationally," said Tarik Lotfy, Arqaam Capital Head of MENA equities.
Dubai volumes fell to a 2011 low, while the index was the worst regional performer last year, falling 9.6 percent.
"There isn't much interest from institutions in UAE markets, especially Dubai, because there is still a lot of uncertainty and many unanswered questions," said Samer al-Jaouni, General Manager of Middle East Financial Brokerage Co.
Qatar's National Leasing Co fell 7.4 percent to a four-week low after it reported a 19-percent decline in fourth quarter profit, although the stock remains up 14.2 percent over the past two months. The firm made a net profit of 30.7 million riyals ($8.44 million) in the fourth quarter, down from 37.9 million riyals in the year-earlier period.
It has proposed a dividend of 3 riyals per share, with some investors expecting a bigger a payout, analysts say.

PARIS - Batman has battled many enemies but now has to face the anger of rightwing US bloggers furious that the comic book caped crusader has recruited a Muslim to run his crime-fighting franchise in Paris.
"The character’s name is Bilal Asselah and he is an Algerian Sunni Muslim and an immigrant that is physically fit and adept at the gymnastic sport parkour," wrote Warner Todd Huston on his site Publius Forum.
"Apparently Batman couldn't find any actual Frenchman to be the 'French saviour'," wrote the rightwinger, apparently discounting the millions of French citizens of North African descent from his definition of "actual" French.
In the December issues of DC Comics Detective Comics Annual and Batman Annual, the caped crusader has set up Batman Incorporated and wants to install a superhero in cities around the world to fight crime.
The hero he picks in France is called Nightrunner, the alter ego of a 22-year-old from Clichy-sous-Bois, a tough Paris suburb where urban unrest sparked riots in immigrant districts across France in 2005.
Bilal Asselah, a Frenchman of Algerian origin, was caught up in that unrest and at one point he and his friend got beaten up by police who mistook them for rioters.
Bilal's friend reacted by later burning down a police station and ended up being killed by police.
But Bilal, thanks largely to the influence of his pious Muslim mother, rejects hate and fear.
He concentrates on learning parkour, the form of acrobatics where practitioners jump from buildings and leap over walls and street furniture, as spectacularly seen at the start of the 2006 James Bond film "Casino Royale."
When riots again threaten to engulf his neighbourhood, Bilal puts on a mask and, using his parkour skills, becomes Nightrunner and sets out to set things right again.
Nightrunner's integrity, athletic prowess, and triumph over personal adversity made him Bruce Wayne's obvious choice to represent Batman in Paris.
But rightwing bloggers in the United States, who are also upset over plans for a black actor to play the Norse God Thor in an upcoming blockbuster movie, are incensed that DC Comics chose to make their new superhero a Muslim.
They see it as pandering to political correctness.
"Unfortunately, readers of Batman will not be helped to understand what troubles are really besetting France," wrote Huston on Publius Forum.
"In this age when Muslim youths are terrorizing the entire country, heck in this age of international Muslim terrorism assaulting the whole world, Batman’s readers will be confused by what is really going on in the world.
"Through it all DC makes a Muslim in France a hero when French Muslims are at the center of some of the worst violence in the country’s recent memory," he wrote.
The Angry White Dude blog, which described Islam as the "religion of murder," mocked that "Nightrunner the Muslim sidekick will have strange new powers to bury women to their waists and bash their heads in with large rocks."
US comic book creator Bosch Fawstin, who wrote on his blog that "DC Comics has submitted to Islam," is coming up with his own antidote.
"If you’re as sick and tired of this IslamiCrap as I am, be on the lookout for my upcoming graphic novel, The Infidel, which features Pigman, an ex-Muslim superhero who is the jihadist’s worst nightmare," he blogged.
DC comics did not respond to an AFP request for an interview with David Hine, the writer of the album featuring Nightrunner, and declined to comment on the controversy.
But the British-born author told a US website that he had tried to "come up with the kind of hero I would want to see in a comic book if I were French."
"The urban unrest and problems of the ethnic minorities under (President Nicolas) Sarkozy’s government dominate the news from France and it became inevitable that the hero should come from a French Algerian background," he told the Death and Taxes site.
The mini-storm on the English-language blogosphere -- where left-leaning or pro-Islam sites are attacking the rightwingers for their hostility to a Muslim superhero -- has so far only sparked a tiny number of reactions on French-language websites.
The albums went on sale here last month but the small numbers stocked were quickly sold out, book stores said.
"The character’s name is Bilal Asselah and he is an Algerian Sunni Muslim and an immigrant that is physically fit and adept at the gymnastic sport parkour," wrote Warner Todd Huston on his site Publius Forum.
"Apparently Batman couldn't find any actual Frenchman to be the 'French saviour'," wrote the rightwinger, apparently discounting the millions of French citizens of North African descent from his definition of "actual" French.
In the December issues of DC Comics Detective Comics Annual and Batman Annual, the caped crusader has set up Batman Incorporated and wants to install a superhero in cities around the world to fight crime.
The hero he picks in France is called Nightrunner, the alter ego of a 22-year-old from Clichy-sous-Bois, a tough Paris suburb where urban unrest sparked riots in immigrant districts across France in 2005.
Bilal Asselah, a Frenchman of Algerian origin, was caught up in that unrest and at one point he and his friend got beaten up by police who mistook them for rioters.
Bilal's friend reacted by later burning down a police station and ended up being killed by police.
But Bilal, thanks largely to the influence of his pious Muslim mother, rejects hate and fear.
He concentrates on learning parkour, the form of acrobatics where practitioners jump from buildings and leap over walls and street furniture, as spectacularly seen at the start of the 2006 James Bond film "Casino Royale."
When riots again threaten to engulf his neighbourhood, Bilal puts on a mask and, using his parkour skills, becomes Nightrunner and sets out to set things right again.
Nightrunner's integrity, athletic prowess, and triumph over personal adversity made him Bruce Wayne's obvious choice to represent Batman in Paris.
But rightwing bloggers in the United States, who are also upset over plans for a black actor to play the Norse God Thor in an upcoming blockbuster movie, are incensed that DC Comics chose to make their new superhero a Muslim.
They see it as pandering to political correctness.
"Unfortunately, readers of Batman will not be helped to understand what troubles are really besetting France," wrote Huston on Publius Forum.
"In this age when Muslim youths are terrorizing the entire country, heck in this age of international Muslim terrorism assaulting the whole world, Batman’s readers will be confused by what is really going on in the world.
"Through it all DC makes a Muslim in France a hero when French Muslims are at the center of some of the worst violence in the country’s recent memory," he wrote.
The Angry White Dude blog, which described Islam as the "religion of murder," mocked that "Nightrunner the Muslim sidekick will have strange new powers to bury women to their waists and bash their heads in with large rocks."
US comic book creator Bosch Fawstin, who wrote on his blog that "DC Comics has submitted to Islam," is coming up with his own antidote.
"If you’re as sick and tired of this IslamiCrap as I am, be on the lookout for my upcoming graphic novel, The Infidel, which features Pigman, an ex-Muslim superhero who is the jihadist’s worst nightmare," he blogged.
DC comics did not respond to an AFP request for an interview with David Hine, the writer of the album featuring Nightrunner, and declined to comment on the controversy.
But the British-born author told a US website that he had tried to "come up with the kind of hero I would want to see in a comic book if I were French."
"The urban unrest and problems of the ethnic minorities under (President Nicolas) Sarkozy’s government dominate the news from France and it became inevitable that the hero should come from a French Algerian background," he told the Death and Taxes site.

“Bersyukur pada Tuhan, Jordan mau keluar. Semuanya sangat aneh, tapi Christina mengizinkan Jordan tinggal untuk kebaikan Max,” ujar sumber dilansir TMZ, Jumat (7/1/2011).
Christina membantah perceraiannya dikarenakan kehadiran Matt. Ia mulai membuka hati untuk Matt setelah mengajukan gugatan cerai dan menurut Christina hal tersebut sangatlah wajar.
“Setelah saya ajukan cerai, kami mulai berkencan. Saya tidak mencari pelarian. Saya meninggalkan pernikahan lima tahun. Saya berjalan pelan-pelan dan mencoba bahagia. Saya bersenang-senang, saya berkencan dan itu sesuatu yang tidak saya lakukan sejak lama,” jelas Christina
